About the Instructors
As husband and wife, Adam and Annabelle Hamlin own and operate the Folsom Karate Academy. Mr. & Mrs. Hamlin have over 35 years of combined experience in practicing, teaching, and competing in martial arts.
Mr. Hamlin began studying and competing in Tae Kwon Do at the age of eight years old. At the age of 12, he earned his junior black belt as well as his junior instructor certification. He then went on to study Kenpo Karate. At the age of 16, he attained several national karate titles, earned his black belt in Kenpo Karate, and was the co-manager and head instructor of a Prominent Kenpo Karate school. Desiring variety in his training, Mr. Hamlin began his study of White Tiger Kung-fu, Jujitsu, and Kickboxing.
In addition to earning college degrees in business and economics, he went on to earn yet another black belt in White Tiger Kung Fu as well as numerous martial arts awards and honors. He was a member of the International Martial arts Council's 1999 and 2000 World Championship Demonstration teams and has participated as a member of the United States Sport Jujitsu Team in 2005. Mr. Hamlin is the Head Instructor of the Folsom Karate Academy as well as the President and Founder of the Folsom Child Safety Network.
Mrs. Hamlin also carries a black belt in White Tiger Kung-fu, and is the holder of numerous local and national martial arts titles. She is currently a two-time world champion. Mrs. Hamlin has a bachelor's degree in English and is a Head Instructor of the Folsom Karate Academy.
